For years, I have always wanted to experience life outside of the UK. There has always been a reason not to – boyfriends, lack of money, no one to go with, work and many more…. but the desire has continued to niggle at me. When is the time right? Well for me, it is now. So, I have applied for a sabbatical at work, looked into renting out the house and researched everything in a way that only a true control freak can.
This blog will be a mixture of my thoughts, organising and anxieties before I go, followed by a journal of my time and experiences abroad. At the time of writing this, I have not yet been able to apply for a Working Holiday in Canada – applications hopefully open in January – until then, I am coasting along packing books and becoming obsessed with bears, suitcases and Canada based trivia.
Best of luck with your application! I applied last January after missing the first two rounds and got mine in after 11 minutes but there were 2000 people in front of me! Another horror story as I’m sure you’ve read plenty but finally I cleared the waiting list in September after thinking it was never going to happen for me and I best get used to life in the UK. Look forward to following your blog!

Thanks 🙂 nice to hear a positive with so many scare stories about the process! Cross your fingers for me….. looking forward to seeing what others get up to, and stealing ideas for what to see and do when I get there! x
