Saying Goodbye.

Last day today and Dad is now at the airport waiting to board.

We had a nice pasta at the restaurant down the road last night and then a few drinks in the bar.  It was lovely that people wanted to say good bye to Dad and the bar was filled with good spirits due to the Blue Jays winning.

Today, we had a quiet day pottering around The Beaches.  It started with an Eds milkshake, a surefire way to have a good day.  We looked at winter coats and boots as the temperature has dropped significantly over the last few days. We looked in all the little tourist shops and then got croissants and chai lattes to have on the beach.  A last stroll through Kew Gardens to say hi to the squirrels and see the fairyhouse, then a nice bench on the boardwalk to eat our lunch.

This left enough time for a cup of tea and then we got the Street Car to Union Station for Dad to get the train to the airport.

Thats it.  Back to the real world tomorrow.  What is the real world? I still dont know what is real, what is a holiday and what is permanent.  I have had a amazing few weeks and loved showing Dad around the city that is becoming my home.  I dont think there is much we havent done…
